1. Make sure you have a legal copy of Grand Theft Auto V installed on your computer. This installation process is for the PC version of the game.

2. Extract the downloaded mod files if they are in a compressed format (such as .zip or .rar). This will give you access to the individual mod files.

3. Download and install OpenIV from the official OpenIV website (openiv.com). OpenIV is a popular modding tool for GTA V that allows you to manage and modify game files. Once OpenIV is installed, launch the application.

4. Before making any changes, it's crucial to create a backup of your game files in case anything goes wrong. Click on the "Windows" tab at the top of the OpenIV window and navigate to the location of your GTA V installation directory. By default, it's usually found at "C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\Grand Theft Auto V". In the GTA V installation directory, you'll see various folders and files. Here, you'll want to locate Grand Theft Auto V\x64v.rpf\models\cdimages\streamedpeds_mp.rpf\mp_f_freemode_01

5. To install the mod, you'll need to drag and drop the modded files from the mod's folder into the corresponding folder in OpenIV. This will replace the original game files with the modded ones. OpenIV will prompt you to confirm the replacement. Ensure that you are replacing the correct files and click "Yes" to proceed. Repeat this process for each file or folder included in the mod until all the necessary changes are made.Once you've installed all the mod files, close OpenIV.

9. Launch GTA V and enjoy your newly installed mod! Depending on the mod, you may need to follow additional instructions provided by the mod creator, such as activating the mod in the game or using specific commands. (for this specific mod just open up your character in a mod menu or the store and locate the hair in the "jackets and pants" option.)

Disclaimer:

Please be aware that modding GTA V can introduce various risks and potential issues to your game. While mods can enhance your gaming experience, it's important to understand that they are created by third-party individuals and may not always function as intended or be compatible with your specific game version or setup.

Here are some potential issues that you may encounter when using GTA V mods:

Stability and Performance: Modding can impact the stability and performance of the game. Some mods may cause crashes, freezes, or performance degradation, especially if they conflict with other mods or the base game files. It's recommended to back up your game files before installing any mods and be prepared to troubleshoot and remove problematic mods if necessary.

Compatibility: Mods may not always be compatible with the latest version of GTA V or with other mods you have installed. Some mods might work only with specific game versions or require additional software or dependencies to function correctly. Always check the mod's documentation or forum threads for compatibility information and ensure you have the necessary prerequisites.

Online Multiplayer Restrictions: Using mods in GTA V's online multiplayer mode, also known as GTA Online, is generally not allowed. Rockstar Games has strict policies against modding in GTA Online, and using mods in this mode can result in penalties, including temporary or permanent bans. It's recommended to use mods only in the single-player mode or in a modded version of GTA V that is separate from the official game installation.

Security and Malware Risks: Downloading mods from untrusted sources can pose security risks. Some mods may contain malicious code, viruses, or malware that could harm your computer or compromise your personal data. It's crucial to download mods from reputable websites or forums that have a proven track record of providing safe and trustworthy mods. Always use reliable antivirus software to scan mod files before installing them.

Modding Community Support: Modding is an ever-evolving process, and mods can become outdated or unsupported over time. Mod authors may discontinue their work, leading to compatibility issues with newer game updates. It's essential to research and choose mods that have active development and community support to ensure ongoing compatibility and potential bug fixes.

By proceeding with the installation and use of GTA V mods, you acknowledge and accept these potential risks and issues. It's recommended to exercise caution, perform backups, use trusted sources, and stay informed about the latest modding practices and community feedback to have a safe and enjoyable modding experience.
