Installation

Install Patrol Suite like a normal LSPDFR/RPH plugin package. The exact folder names matter.

Required

  • Grand Theft Auto V
  • LSPDFR
  • RagePluginHook
  • RawCanvasUI, if your package does not already include it

Install Path

Drop the packaged files into your GTA V root so the plugin lands here:

plugins/LSPDFR/PatrolSuite.dll
plugins/LSPDFR/PatrolSuite/Config.ini
plugins/LSPDFR/PatrolSuite/UI/
plugins/LSPDFR/PatrolSuite/Audio/
Updating from an older release: back up your old Config.ini, settings.ini, and any custom UI/audio files before replacing anything. This release reorganizes several folders.

First Launch

Patrol Suite now uses a cleaner startup flow and a standard GTA notification instead of intrusive subtitle-style startup text.

Open Menu

Default menu bind:

Left Control + O

Edit this in Config.ini or through Master Controls.

Config Preservation

Manual Config.ini edits should no longer be overwritten during normal startup.

Old settings.ini

settings.ini is legacy. Current settings are intended to live in Config.ini.

Update 2.2 Highlights

Update 2.2 is a UI-focused polish update built around a new compact Smart Taser display and a rebuilt RoadWatch ALPR reader.

Smart Taser Shell 2 HUD

Added a selectable compact taser HUD style using smart_taser_hud_shell2.png. It keeps the Classic HUD available while offering a smaller device-style display with CART, P1, P2, and cartridge count readouts.

ALPR Reader Table

RoadWatch ALPR now uses a cleaner 5-row / 3-column reader panel for PLATE, CAM, and HIT. It shows up to four recent plate reads at once.

Display Polish

Shell 2 movement bounds, ALPR alignment, prong glow behavior, and public menu cleanup were tuned so the update is cleaner for normal users.

Recommended for testing: check both Smart Taser UI styles, move Shell 2 near each screen corner at your preferred scale, and confirm ALPR reads line up inside the new panel.

UI Preview

These are pulled from the provided UI assets for flavor in the guide; in-game placement and scale depend on your settings.

Patrol Loadouts

Patrol Suite now has its own loadout system and builder, while still being able to read Policing Redefined loadouts.

Using Loadouts

  • Open Patrol Tools > Patrol Loadout.
  • Use left/right on Selected Loadout to choose one.
  • Press Enter to apply it.
  • Press Delete to delete a Patrol Suite-owned loadout.

Building Loadouts

  • Open Loadout Builder.
  • Choose weapon categories like Pistol, SMG, Assault Rifle, Shotgun, Heavy, or Throwables.
  • Checkbox on = weapon included.
  • Use the component menu to add compatible components.
  • Save the loadout to Patrol Suite’s JSON file.

Loadout Files

plugins/LSPDFR/PatrolSuite/PatrolTools/Loadouts.json
plugins/LSPDFR/PatrolSuite/PatrolTools/AddonLoadoutItems.json
Policing Redefined: Patrol Suite reads PR loadouts as a source, but Patrol Suite writes to its own files. It does not edit PR’s loadout file.

Patrol Tools

Smart Taser

Smart Taser

Probe/wire visuals, cartridge behavior, reactivation behavior, BHR-friendly reactions, and cycle audio support.

OC Spray

OC Spray

Canister display, capacity tuning, recovery timing, exposure behavior, and optional self-contamination.

Lidar

Lidar Gun

Speed lock, display movement, first-person use, and weapon-switch blocking while zooming.

Disable Pistol Whip

Blocks GTA’s pistol-whip/melee behavior while holding configured sidearms or SMGs, reducing accidental melee during close scenes.

External Holster Handling

Patrol Suite now respects external holster systems instead of trying to own belt components/animations internally. Provider choices include Auto, Kinetic, Realistic Holster, and Off.

Vehicle Control

Fuel Arc

SignalOmeter & Fuel

  • Fuel arc hides when Fuel System is off.
  • Fuel arc can be set to Left or Right.
  • Fuel data is stored as JSON.
Engine Icon

Engine / Exit

  • Tap F to exit normally.
  • Hold F to exit while leaving the engine running.
  • Door-open behavior follows the hold-to-exit option.

Spotlight Controller

Spotlight now supports Follow and Manual aim modes.

Follow = spotlight follows camera
Manual = move with Numpad controls
Numpad4 = Left
Numpad6 = Right
Numpad8 = Up
Numpad2 = Down

Road Equipment

Grappler

Deploy vehicle capture equipment and keep it mounted even after exiting the patrol vehicle. Captured vehicles are no longer released just because the officer exits.

Star Chase Tracker

Deploy a tracker and manage pursuit/tracking behavior from Road Equipment. Active/Inactive menu states now use cleaner color feedback.

Data File

plugins/LSPDFR/PatrolSuite/VehicleControl/GrapplerOffsets.json

Critical State 2.0

Critical State 2.0 is a major gameplay layer for downed/critical subjects and officer survival events.

Death Interception

Intercepts dangerous health/death edge cases before GTA instantly kills the player/subject.

EMS Treatment

EMS/provider treatment flow with severity-based chance handling and recovery behavior.

Recovery

Slow recovery and manual stability full-heal options for controlled scenes.

Compatibility

NexusMDT

CompuPro was removed. Patrol Suite now focuses on NexusMDT integration for modern MDT workflow compatibility.

Policing Redefined

Patrol Suite can read PR loadouts and import compatible data into Patrol Suite’s own loadout system.

Kinetic

When Kinetic is used, Patrol Suite respects it for weapon draw/holster animation and taser cycling ownership.

Realistic Holster

Patrol Suite can step aside and label Realistic Holster as the external holster provider.

Better Hit Reactions

Smart Taser behavior has been softened to work better with BHR-style reactions.

Stop The Ped

Compatibility states are maintained where applicable, such as flashlight/weapon behavior indicators.

File Structure & Customization

The update cleans up the old Runtime-heavy structure and moves data into clearer folders.

Troubleshooting

Config edits reset?

Make sure you are editing the active Config.ini under plugins/LSPDFR/PatrolSuite/. This release is designed not to auto-overwrite manual edits on normal startup.

UI missing?

Keep the full UI/ folder installed. Patrol Suite does not use the failed embedded-asset approach.

Kinetic/Realistic Holster conflict?

Set the external holster provider under Weapon Stowing. Patrol Suite can step aside, but the external mods themselves still need sane settings.

Speed limit wrong?

Update PatrolTools/SpeedLimits.csv. The lookup now prioritizes the current road and ignores cross-street fallback.

Shell 2 HUD not positioned right?

Use the normal Smart Taser display mover. The temporary calibration menu was removed from the public menu after the tuned defaults were baked in.

ALPR panel text off?

Make sure the updated UI/RoadWatch/alpr_panel.png is installed and that old cached or duplicate panel files are not overriding it.
