GTA IV Driveby Animation V1.1

Have you ever missed the badass looking driveby animation from GTA IV where you hang out the side window of the car and shoot at enemies? Just like you could while you cruised around GTA IV online with your friends? Well wait no longer as you can now do this same animation in GTA V!

Special thanks to Ferz Denikin aka boring neptune for helping me with learning how to convert GTA IV animations to GTA V! Also special thanks to Kaz Productions for teaching me how to manually fix finger positions that allowed the animations to keep their quality after retargeting!

Installation instructions: (version 1.1)

Manual Installation:

Place the veh@drivebystd_ps.ycd & veh@std@[email protected] file here.

Place the veh@drivebystd_ps_restricted.ycd file here.

OIV packages available for both install and uninstall as well!

Known Issues:

Currently the animation only replaces standard vehicle models from the right passenger side only replacing the original animation’s start, loop and outro, and so therefore will not change the van or lowrider driveby animations or any other seat yet.

The animation may not move perfectly when rotating around the car to shoot at targets and may get stuck. This is due to GTA V’s restriction of not having a full 360 rotation movement in the seat itself like in GTA IV.

Cops can also do this animation currently and therefore this may look weird at times lol. I have not figured out a potential fix for this yet as I can’t see how I could do it in the future but only time will tell.
