Clearer Nights V2.0

Clearer Nights v1

I never really liked how dark “vanilla” skies looked like at night so I created a little script to make the nights a bit clearer, from 8:00 pm (20:00) to 5:00 am (5:00). I didn’t wanna go too bright on the night skies because it still has to look like it is night time NOT as if it were overcast or dawn-looking so with the script the nights between 8 pm and 5 am will look clearer but not overwhelmingly (see pic and demo videos). This is similar to the “Brighter Night for VisualV” mod but, mine is totally different, mine is a simpler cs script not a dll, it doesn’t messes with or modifies any “time_cycle” files within the game’s archives plus it works with any graphics mod (VisualV, QuantV, NVE etc..)

MAIN REQUIREMENTS:
Script Hook V
ScriptHookVDotNet (latest nightly version)

INSTALLATION:
Just move “ClearerNights.3.cs” to ‘scripts’ folder.

Changelog:
v2.0
– Fixed an issue where depending on where you are in the map the sky looked sort of post apocalyptic, with a dirty orangey “nuclear holocaust” tint to it so I toned it down to a more realistic light blueish tint with light orangey touches in the background.
– Fixed another issue where after midnight the city lights and all building lights in general wouldn’t turn on, I assume is because the game thinks is still late afternoon and not night time and therefor doesn’t turn the lights on, so it looked like a power outage.
– Also fixed ambient light transition between early morning hours in which, for example, the time would be like 3:59 and the sky has a light blueish tinge to it and all of the sudden turns really bright abruptly once it turned to 4:00 am. Adjusted the light to be a bit smoother when it switches from one hour to the other istead of an abrupt flashy transition.

Bugs:
– None that I’ve noticed while testing it.

Statement:
I may upload a brighter version in the near future if requested.
