
INSTALLATION
Drop everything from the mods scripts folder into your own scripts folder.
USAGE
Press Supr/Delete to start the missions (can be changed in the ini).
FEATURES
2 types of mission:
-Gang attacks
-Single objectives hit
GANG ATTACKS:
There’s a total of 50 gang attacks ALL AROUND THE MAP, from paleto bay, to south LS, that you can approach however you want, they are placed in areas that allow you to attack from different angles, I was very carefull on the placement of the guads, there are also vehicles in most of these areas that function as cover for you or the enemies, turning the areas of the gang attacks into some sorta “shootout levels” within the game, I tried them all, I’m pretty certain is the case.
Single objectives hit
Some times you will have to kill only one objective, it can be a gang member or a drug dealer, in some ocassions they are deep inside gang areas, and you will have to plan your attack properly or get shot by the surrounding gang members.
FIXES
I managed to decompile JavelinV myself with Dnspy, and I could fix a few things here and there like:
-Cars not dissappearing at the end of missions.
-Peds models not being released by the game at the end of missions causing performance issues.
-Cars models not being released by the game at the end of missions causing performance issues.
-Script crashing if you die during a mission.
-Script crashing if you cancel a mission.
BUGS I COULD NOT FIX
There’s a bug within Javelin that allows any scenario created within the mod, to spawn on the player, which means, if you press the start mission key, and you are standing RIGHT in the spot the mission takes place, it will spawn on top of you, and you will get shot instantly because enemies will notice your pressence.
IM LOOKING FOR SCRIPTERS THAT CAN HELP FIX THIS BUG WITHIN JAVELIN, PLEASE GET BACK TO ME IN THE COMMENTS IF YOU ARE INTERESTED, I WANT TO CREATE AT LEAST 200 MISSIONS AND SOME OF THEM CANNOT BE DONE WHILE THE BUG IS PRESENT.
TO PREVENT THIS FROM HAPPENING TO YOU: only start missions from sidewalks or roads, never in alleyways or interiors, because that’s where most of the gang attacks take place at.

NEW FEATURES
– Added a “DEFENSIVE=1” Task so now you can set targets to defend and stand their ground, used mostly in hideouts to prevent targets from leaving their spawn point, swarm and flank the player as they would do previously.
– Adapted every hideout to use the DEFENSIVE task now, causing them to become more of a shooting gallery akin to main missions of the game, and similar to hideouts in other third person shooters.
– THe usage of the DEFENSIVE task actualyl let’s the targets use the environment I crafted in the hits for cover, allowing for am ore “cover shooter” gameplay in them.

NEW FEATURES
– Added SUPPORT FOR MPCharacters MPmale and MPFemale respectivelly, the contact will call MPMale “Player” in the text messages, and MPFemale Lady.
– Added a “Guard” task so now you can set an enemy to guard an area, any enemy set as guard will walk around the area in a range of 5 meters, and stand around for a few seconds before moving again. The task looks like “GUARD=1” in the xml’s. This will allow or better stealth mechanics with well placed enemies for any creators out there, who would be willing to create hits with this (not that there are lots of you, it’s lonely out here)
– Improved the AI so it’s less punishing.
– Also added hearing to hostile enemies so they can hear you walk behind them.
– Added 9 hits in Vinewood west mansions to showcase the new stealth mechanics, and adapted about 20 mansions already done previously to use the new stealth mechanics too.
CHANGELOG 8.0
– Created about a thousand hits which involve: single gang members, driving gang members, gang groups, gangs in hotels, gangs in gas stations, gangs in a few mission interiors, gang deals, mansion hits with bodyguards, and gangs in boats, so you can take enemies even in the sea.
– Changed contact name in the messages from “Javelin” to “Contractor”
– Fixed the possibility of hits spawning in front of the player.
– Enemies will now attack/run accordingly if they see you carrying a weapon, and now the actually have to see you, so stealth is allowed.
-Gangs will now defend the targets in their territory instead of shooting at them and killing them for you.
-Fixed the driving enemies not respecting traffic.
-Added the possibility to call a phone contact to start the mission, the contact is called “Contractor
-Added a possibility in the ini to modify at which distance the missions are activated (MISSIONSDISTANCE) Set to 500 meters by default.
– Added the possibility for the mission to become an unlockable. The mission is unlocked doing the Minigun challenge in ammu nation, and then leaving the area, which will prompt the player to receive a message.
– Added a cooldown time after a mission, so you have to actually wait a little to be able to do another contract.

EXTRA INFO:
You might notice the missions are repeated inside “JavelinVMissionReferences.xml” this is because, the amount of gang groups is so much
(goes up to the thousands) that I had to copy paste all the other missions, so that when you are playing, you can still get variety
(gang hideouts, drive bys, single gang members, hotel hits, gang deals) if you don’t like that, there’s a “Normal” file that you can play with
just remove the provided one and change it’s name to “JavelinVMissionReferences” although I don’t recommend it.
I might have forgotten a few things, but that’s the important ones.
