AH-64E Apache Guardian [Add-On | LODs] V1.1

AH-64E Apache Guardian

The AH-64 Apache is one of the best know attack helicopters in the world, so naturally I have already uploaded an Apache mod.

However, since it is a bit dated by now I decided to upload a new version. This uses an entirely new model and textures, as well as representing one of the latest Block upgrades of the Apache in real life including new rotor blades, upward canted exhaust and additional RWR sensors.

The mod features carefully adjusted material shaders with normal and specular maps for a realistic look with relfections. Also included is realistic night lighting. The helicopter features 3 different liveries which will vary randomly. Due to the high poly L0 model I have included PROPERLY made LOD models for L1-L4 for better game performance.

Additionally, this helicopter features custom weapon, including modified versions of the Hunter’s missile and rocket weapons. The cannon has a faster rate of fire and as a completely new “weapon” you can also use the flares mounted on the tail.

A custom vehicle layout file ensures realistic entry and exit for pilot and gunner.

By pressing the landing gear key / button you can pivot the weapon station upwards / downwards by 5° and also retract the belly mounted floodlight.

Tuning includes 2 visual upgrades: Hellfire missiles can be replaced by fuel tanks and the top mounted radar can be removed.

Before you use this, make sure to use the CWeaponInfoBlob Limit Adjuster by alexguirre to prevent the game from crashing during loading.

Installation
1. Place the “ah64e” folder into [Gamefolder]\update\X64\dlcpacks\
2. With OpenIV, extract [Game folder]\update\update.rpf\common\data\dlclist.xml and edit this with Notepad++. Add the following entry:
dlcpacks:\ah64e\
3. Now you are done, you will need a trainer with “spawn by name” function (Enhanced Native Trainer for example) to spawn the vehicle type in:
“ah64e”
