As the salesman, you’d be hard-pressed to persuade anyone who’s part of that Generation X persona of this brand to take this kind of car from them seriously. When the notion of 12 cylinders is no longer used in a marketing blurb for a counterculture-era land barge but rather a hyperspace mad-scientist type of supercar with all the poster-worthy electronic gizmos you could ever ask for, you’d be better off attempting to convince free-spirited yuppies that this really isn’t their grandpa’s Albany. Of course, it only takes one look to know it’s something different – an assumingly-brand-defying magnum opus that never was.
