Realistic Traffic Plate Variety V1.1

This mod adds more variety to the license plates used by civilian traffic vehicles in GTA V.

By default, most vehicles in the game use the standard San Andreas license plate, making traffic feel repetitive after long periods of gameplay. This modification introduces additional plate variants that already exist within GTA V and GTA Online, allowing traffic vehicles to occasionally appear with plates from Liberty City, Las Venturas, North Yankton, and several promotional plates found in GTA Online.

The goal of this mod is to increase immersion while remaining lore-friendly. All included plates are part of the GTA universe and are distributed using carefully balanced probabilities to ensure that standard San Andreas plates remain the most common option while special and promotional plates stay rare.

Civilian traffic vehicles can spawn with the following plate distribution:

Standard White (San Andreas) – 79
White Plate 2 – 4
Yellow Plate – 4
Blue Plate – 4
Liberty City – 3
Las Venturas – 3
Yankton – 0.5
eCola – 0.5
LS Car Meet – 0.5
PANIC – 0.5
Pounders – 0.5
Sprunk – 0.5

Police and government vehicles continue to use their appropriate government plates, while service vehicles such as taxis, buses, ambulances, and fire trucks retain standard San Andreas plates.

Installation:

1. Open OpenIV
2. Enable Edit Mode
3. Navigate to mods\update\update.rpf\x64\data\
4. Back up your original carvariations.ymt
5. Replace the existing file with the one included in this archive
6. Launch the game

Compatibility:

This mod replaces carvariations.ymt and may conflict with traffic overhauls, vehicle packs, or any other modification that edits the same file.
